Alaska Pride Hockey Association is dedicated to creating a welcoming hockey community where everyone can belong. Through inclusive programs, community events, and opportunities to play, we're helping grow the game of hockey across Alaska one skate at a time.

The Alaska Pride Hockey Association (APHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to growing the sport of ice hockey throughout Alaska through diversity, inclusion, and community.

We believe hockey has the power to bring people together. Regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, background, age, or skill level, everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the camaraderie, confidence, and lifelong friendships that hockey creates in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our mission is to expand access to the sport, remove barriers to participation, and foster a community where every player feels valued, respected, and empowered to be themselves.

We pursue that mission by:

• Creating inclusive opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to play hockey through recreational skates, inclusive tournaments, and an annual signature Alaska Pride Hockey Tournament.

• Hosting community events and social gatherings that foster connection, belonging, and a welcoming environment for everyone

• Partnering with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders who share our commitment to growing the community and the game.

We're building more than a hockey organization—we're building a community.

Our vision is to become Alaska's leading inclusive hockey community, where LGBTQ+ players and allies can find friendship, competition, personal growth, and a lifelong love of the game.

As our organization grows, we look forward to expanding programs across the state, increasing access to hockey, supporting more players through scholarships, and establishing Alaska's annual Pride Hockey Tournament.
